Advent I, 2018

Advent I, 2018

While the circumstances and specificity
of sightings will vary,
let the Knowing unfold its wings
and dance for our senses while still damp,
trembling with the wonder of grace and joy.
And the Everlasting shall thrum
beneath and within and around and through
in proclamatory hope:
Here and now
with the world as it is,
creased with fault lines,
front lines, and desperate uncertainty,
Love is Alive.
Can we take this in?

I feel as though I must,
in order to breathe, to be set free.
Take this into my heart, my eyes, and speech,
touch, taste, listening, and any acts of creativity...
Into my deepest longing
that sings in the night:
Love
is
alive!
