Eggsestential Poetry

A Course in Omelettics

With a sliced chord
of onion, purple and white,
removed in one movement
from an uprooted underground
well layered minaret;
With translucent pages
knifed cleanly away
from the contoured spine
of red-pepper quires
that meet in bright binding;
With albumen and yoke
binding all to all
in simple, in graceful,
communion,
I cook; I praise;
I delight in the glory of creating.
